Monroe Bank, formerly Monroe County Bank, was founded in 1892 as a community bank, and has retained that heritage through over a century of growth.
With primary offices located in Bloomington, Indiana, we also serve Central and South Central Indiana through 17 locations in Monroe, Jackson, Lawrence, and Hendricks Counties.
We also retain a strong community commitment. Our employees are recognized for community service and leadership, and many employees serve on boards of community organizations. We take a half-day for our annual Day of Caring so we can participate in volunteer activities. Employees provide 5,000 to 6,000 hours of community service each year above and beyond our Day of Caring, and we provide an average of $80,000 to our communities in annual sponsorships.
